Why is God not answering my prayers?

The title of this is absolutely NOT true! :) However, it is a question that we may sometimes feel that we should ask.

In truth, God answers every single one of our prayers. It may not be in the time frame that we want, it may not be in the form of what we specifically ask—but there is no prayer that God will not answer.

God knows exactly what we need and he knows what our hearts desire.

I don’t want to say there is exactly a wrong way to pray, but if you feel like God isn’t answering your prayers, chances are you are praying too small!

God knows what we need at all times. He doesn’t need you to babble on and on about the mere things in life that you want a need- all of that is already taken care of.

Prayer should happen every day! I personally pray multiple times a day.

Prayer should be fresh.

Prayer should open your heart and mind to God so that he may fill you up with his spirit- not so that you can fill him up with requests.

Prayer should not only be for yourself- but for others around you as well. There are some people who NEED people to pray for them and at the same time there are some of us who have healings and blessings on the inside of us that can only be released if we PRAY!

The culture only wants to promote the notion of “hustling and grinding” . But if we would all just partner with God- we would know that he has everything taken care of. You don’t have to hustle, grind, or struggle for the plans that God has ORDAINED for you!

When I began to strengthen myself in my prayer life, I started to say “The Lord’s Prayer” every single morning. We learn it as kids not knowing how much value and meaning is truly in this prayer.

For me, this was just a way to set the tone for the day and let God know that I am surrendering all of my daily activities to him so that he may show me how to navigate in my day.

Prayer journaling was also something that I did and still do! Sometimes it’s easier to get thoughts down on paper than it is to verbally speak. No matter if its written or spoken, God hears our prayers.

So if you think God is not answering your prayers I want to encourage you to

1. Start saying the Lord’s Prayer (Matthew 6:9-13) every single morning. Set the tone early in the day.

2. STOP PRAYING SO SMALL. We serve a limitless God, a miracle worker! If he can give you the small things- why wouldn’t he give you something far bigger than you can imagine? That’s how his GLORY is shown.

3. Pray for others, don’t solely focus on yourself. There’s a whole world out here. Someone in another state could be in desperate need of your prayer.

4. Be fresh and serious in your prayers and know that we serve an awesome God who will make a river inside a desert at any given moment!

If you are one who feels like you need someone else to pray for YOU, please fill out this form and let me know so that I, myself can pray for you and show you how God wants to channel blessings through and to all of us!
